Identity Reset - Day 2 (9/29)
Day 2 – Putting On the New Self
Scripture: “You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” – Ephesians 4:22–24
Devotional: Living as a follower of Jesus is a daily process. The Bible says it’s like changing clothes: take off the “old self” and put on the “new self.” This means letting go of old habits that pull you away from God and choosing to live in the new way He has given you. For leaders in God’s kingdom, this is important—people are watching how you live. When you choose honesty, kindness, or forgiveness, you show them what life with Jesus looks like.
Prayer: Lord, thank You that You give me the chance to start fresh every day. Help me let go of old ways of living that don’t honor You. Teach me how to “put on” Your ways—kindness, patience, and truth—so others can see the change You are making in me. Let my growth encourage those around me to seek You too.
Action Item: Choose one “old self” habit you want to leave behind today (like complaining, worry, or anger). Pray about it, and replace it with one “new self” action (like gratitude, trust, or patience).
