Identity Reset - Day 15 (10/12)
Day 15 – Standing in the Gap
Scripture: “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” – 1 Timothy 2:1–4
Devotional: Intercession means standing in the gap—praying on behalf of others. God invites you to bring people, cities, and situations before Him in prayer. This kind of prayer changes things, not because we are powerful, but because we partner with a powerful God. True leadership in God’s kingdom begins with prayer, because every move of God starts in the place of intercession. When you pray for others, you are helping make space for God’s will to be done in their lives.
Prayer: Father, thank You for inviting me to partner with You in prayer. Give me a heart that cares for others the way You do. Help me pray faithfully for my family, leaders, and community. Teach me to trust that my prayers matter and that You are at work even when I can’t see it.
Action Item: Make a short list of three people or situations you will pray for every day this week. Start today by lifting each one up to God by name.
