Day 18 – Praying God’s Will

Scripture: “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” – 1 John 5:14

Devotional: As you grow in prayer, you begin to pray differently. Instead of asking only for what you want, you start asking for what God wants. That’s what it means to pray according to His will. Intercessors listen to God’s heart and then pray His desires back to Him. This is powerful because God promises to hear and answer prayers that align with His will. True spiritual leaders learn to seek God’s heart before they speak His words.

Prayer: Father, teach me to pray according to Your will. Help me to listen more than I speak, and to align my prayers with Your heart. Show me what You desire for my family, my church, and my city. Let my prayers become a reflection of Your purpose and not just my plans.

Action Item: Spend 5 quiet minutes listening before you pray today. Ask God, “What’s on Your heart, Lord?” Then pray for whatever He brings to mind.
