Identity Reset - Day 20 (10/17)
Day 20 – Intercession Brings Breakthrough
Scripture: “Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.” – James 5:17–18
Devotional: Elijah’s prayers stopped and started the rain—showing the power of intercession. The Bible reminds us that he was an ordinary person, just like us, yet God responded to his prayers. That means your prayers can also bring breakthrough. When you pray with faith, you partner with heaven to bring change on earth. God is looking for people who will pray big prayers and believe that He can move in impossible situations.
Prayer: God, thank You for reminding me that my prayers matter. Help me pray with bold faith, trusting that You hear and respond. Use my prayers to bring breakthrough in my family, my church, and my community. Teach me to expect great things when I talk with You.
Action Item: Think of one “impossible” situation in your life or someone else’s. Write it down and begin praying bold, faith-filled prayers over it every day this week.
