Identity Reset - Day 22 (10/19)
Day 22 – Seeing Through Compassionate Eyes

Scripture: “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” – Matthew 9:36

Devotional: Jesus didn’t just see people—He noticed their pain, confusion, and need. That’s what it means to have a shepherd’s heart. Leaders in God’s kingdom are moved by compassion, not by control or pride. When you look at people the way Jesus does, you begin to care for them with patience and understanding. A true shepherd doesn’t walk past hurting people; they stop, listen, and love. Compassion is where spiritual leadership begins.

Prayer: Lord, help me to see people the way You see them. Open my eyes to notice the needs around me and give me a heart full of compassion. Teach me to care for others, not for recognition, but out of genuine love. Use me to bring comfort and hope to those who feel lost or unseen.

Action Item: Ask God to show you one person today who needs encouragement or care—and take one small step to show kindness or offer prayer.
Matthew 9:36
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
