Identity Reset - Day 23 (10/20)
Day 23 – Caring for God’s People
Scripture: “Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be;
not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.” – 1 Peter 5:2–3
Devotional: A shepherd doesn’t lead with pressure or pride—they lead with love. God has placed people under your care—maybe your family, your friends, or your church community. He asks you to lead them by example, with humility and a willing heart. The best leaders serve others because they love God, not because they need attention. When you care for people faithfully, you show them what Jesus’ love looks like.
Prayer: Father, thank You for trusting me to care for others. Help me lead with a willing and humble heart. Teach me to serve rather than seek recognition. Let my actions reflect Your kindness and patience, so the people around me feel loved and valued.
Action Item: Think about someone God has placed under your influence. Send them a message or call them today just to check in and show you care.
