Week 1: Preparing Our Hearts
As an introduction week, this week is about preparing to dive into Heaven’s Helper by prepping in our ability to engage in God’s Word, reflecting on our current understanding of The Holy Spirit, & praying for God to prepare our hearts for this next season.
This week, there are a few videos that are essential to watch about How to Read the Bible :) - we’ll also begin to get familiar with some of the key scriptures about the Holy Spirit and begin discussing our thoughts, perspectives, and understanding of Him.

- Pray: Ask God to open your heart to a fresh understanding of the Holy Spirit

- Read/Meditate: John 14:26
- Share: What’s one question you have about the Holy Spirit?
- Pray: Ask God to give you a deeper understanding of the Holy Spirit
Day 4 (Wednesday 3/4):
- Watch: Plot in Biblical Narrative (BibleProject), Character in Biblical Narrative (BibleProject), Setting in Biblical Narrative (BibleProject)
- Read/Meditate: Matthew 3:16-17
- Share: What things have you learned about the Holy Spirit that have helped you?
- Pray: Ask God to give you a greater desire for the Holy Spirit
Day 5 (Thursday 3/5):
- Watch: Design Patterns (BibleProject), Biblical Law (BibleProject)
- Read/Meditate: Acts 2:1-4
- Share: What do you think it means to be “filled with the Spirit”? It’s okay to guess :)
- Pray: Ask God to help you understand what it means to be filled with the Holy Spirit
Day 6 (Friday 3/6):

- Read/Meditate: Isaiah 11:2
- Share: What’s one way you’ve seen the Holy Spirit show up in your life?
- Pray: Pray for more of each aspect of the Holy Spirit’s ministry in your life - Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Might, Knowledge, & Fear of the Lord.
Day 7 (Saturday 3/7):
- Watch: NT Letters: Historical Context (BibleProject), NT Letters: Literary Context (BibleProject)
- Read/Meditate: Romans 8:6
- Share: What are you most excited about diving into when it comes to the Holy Spirit?
- Pray: Give any personal apprehension to the Holy Spirit to God in prayer. Ask for a new heart to receive.
