March 14th, 2020-  Update

Dear Northside,

Northside will gather for worship service tomorrow (3/14/20). We are committed to your health and safety, and will be following all measures prescribed by health experts.  If you are not feeling well or feel uncomfortable attending, we support your decision not to attend. We are asking everyone at this time to continue praying, stay informed, check on family and friends, and most importantly, remain committed to our highest priority - the gospel of Christ. Let's remain vigilant in communicating our faith, and reminding others that God is able to meet all needs. Pastor K and I love you deeply, and we speak life, health, strength, courage and peace over you and your family!

-Pastors Joe and Krystal Oby.

-Pray that the spread of the virus is contained.

-Pray for those needing healing.

-Pray for those experiencing anxiety and fear around this issue.

Scriptures to meditate on (The Lord's Protection):

-Psalm 91

-Isaiah 41:10

-Psalm 121: 7-8

Preparation/Wisdom:

COVID-19 spreads like the flu—through respiratory droplets. You can do the following to help stop its spread:

-Wash your hands often with soap and water and scrub for at least 20 seconds.

-Refrain from touching babies'/kids' hands or faces

-Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

-Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

-Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, and cough or sneeze into your elbow.

-Stay home when you are sick.

-Routinely clean frequently touched surfaces and objects.

-Practice other good health habits. Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, manage your stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food.

-Prepare for possible school / event closures.

-Store a two week supply of water and food (water, canned goods, dried fruits, toiletries, etc).

Our Worship Services:

We want to assure you that your health and wellness is important to us.

For  this reason, we have implemented a few things at our services in order to ensure our facilities are clean and safe for everyone.

This includes:

1. Cleaning of the building at various touch points (doorknobs, handles, etc.)

2. Continual cleaning throughout our Sunday services.

3. Hand sanitizers are availble at entrance, in the lobby and in the sanctuary.

We encourage you to wash your hands frequently and take all necessary precautions. Also, if you or your children are ill, please stay home to reduce risks.

Thank you for helping to keep NCA healthy and safe,

Northside Church Leadership
