"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen." – 1 Peter 4:10-11 (NIV)

Jesus gives us an example of leadership that rests on serving Him by serving others. At NCA, we have a culture of generosity -- of giving our time, talent, & treasure for Jesus and his purposes on earth. All NCA Partners have the opportunity to serve within the ministry and grow into leadership positions here at the church. Serving the church is an amazing way to grow in your faith, love, & community while sharpening your gifts and putting yourself in the position to be a blessing to God's church.

SEE BELOW FOR FAQ'S ABOUT VOLUNTEERING AT NCA:
What are the requirements to volunteer?
There are two main requirements for volunteering at NCA: 1. Active Partnership at NCA, and 2. Active Participation in a Life Group.

As a discipleship-first church, we want to ensure that anyone who is pouring out their gifts for the ministry is also being poured into. Before you give what you have to the ministry, we want to provide you the spiritual community, discipleship, & support system to not just thrive in service, but in our Christian Life.

Luke 10:38-42 (NIV):
As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
What is the time commitment?
While each ministry's time commitment slightly varies, there are generally two types of volunteer roles at NCA.

Leadership Roles - Leadership roles typically require 2-3 hours of time per week outside of service & life group for planning, communication, & meetings.
Volunteer Roles - Other volunteer roles typically require 0-1 hours of time per week outside of service & life group.

For ministries that serve during service on Sunday, all volunteers are expected to be able to serve 1-2 Sundays a month.
How do I sign-up or switch my role?
